How CNC Press Brakes Work
CNC bending is a process that uses a V-shaped punch and die to bend
a sheet of metal into an angle. The sheet is placed between the
punch and the die, and the die presses down on the sheet. This
bending method provides a low-cost method for producing 3D shapes
from 2D sheets. CNC bending is suitable for machining most ductile
metals, mainly for sheet metal designs with one or more bends.
Brackets, housings, cams, chassis, etc. are just a few examples.

usually not required
