What is CNC Laser Cutting?
Custom laser cutting is a form of cutting industrial sheet metal
into the desired shape with the help of a high-density beam that is
also connected to the CNC module. The high-density laser beam is
aimed at the metal to be cut, and the laser beam or workpiece is
operated by computer numerical control or CNC to achieve the
pre-programmed and desired shape
With the help of optics that focus electrical energy into the shape
of a high-power laser beam, the desired effect is achieved. The
processed metal is then formed into the desired shape through a
process of burning, melting, vaporizing or blowing away with the
help of nitrogen or oxygen jets

Laser cutting machines are capable of cutting sheet metal such as
laser cutting stainless steel, laser cutting aluminum, etc. to
desired shapes. However, sometimes just cutting the sheet metal
does not meet the desired finish of the sheet metal. Many machines
and machine parts require sheet metal to be bent into different
shapes for the application required by the customer
Bending and folding of sheet metal is a very common practice and
even one of the important steps in manufacturing. When a metal
sheet is bent or folded, an external force basically occurs in
order to bend or fold the metal sheet on a specific axis to produce
the desired change in the geometry of the metal sheet
The volume of the entire metal plate remains the same, but the
shape of the plate changes as needed. The thickness of the sheet
metal is more or less unaffected by bending or folding, unless
there are some special cases. Sheet metal adds stiffness and
strength due to the process of bending and folding
Bending and folding of sheet metal is sometimes an inherent part of
the overall laser cutting process, and they go hand in hand to give
the customer the desired effect. Both processes are part of an
inclusive sheet metal fabrication process
